Safety Frames

In January 2011 two of our employees borrowed a quad bike and began discussing recent quad bike accidents including fatalities. They in turn discussed it with company director Bruce Hargood. He started investigating ideas for quad bike safety frames. After some thought Bruce came up with drawings for an initial design. The frame needed to stop the vehicle from rolling onto its back, and provide vital space underneath if it does roll onto its back or its side. Development of the safety frame began in earnest with the first design crash tested in March 2011. The video of this test can be viewed on our homepage. Further development has resulted in the safety frame we can offer to quad bike users today. The frame has the New Zealand Design Registration No. 414659, and Australian Design Registration No. 345127. All enquiries about safety frames can be directed to Bruce.
